Renewables and Environmental Regulatory Institute with A 11 – Initiative for Economic and Social Rights and Institute for Urban Politics will work on increasing capacities of civil society organisations in Serbia to prevent corruption and act as defenders of the rule of law and public interests in urban planning and management of public goods. CSOs which are recognised as an active defender of public interests in front of courts will improve governance accountability, thus increasing stability of institutions guaranteeing democracy, the rule of law, and respect of human rights. One of the aims of the Action will be the development of methodology and tools for transparent and participative decision-making in urban and spatial planning, increasing transparency and creating effective tools for prevention of corruption.
Some of the main activities:
- Advocacy campaign for protection of right to good governance in the area of spatial and urban planning and accountable performance of public administration and judiciary;
- Facilitating public participation and increasing transparency in development of spatial and urban planning documents;
- Capacity building and knowledge sharing hub.
