Danilo Ćurčić

Biography

Danilo Ćurčić (LL. B, Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, LL.M, Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, University of Essex, UK) is the founder of Initiative A 11. Until summer of 2024, Danilo was the legal representative of the association, and since the reorganization he has been a member of the Executive Board in charge of program coordination.

In 2020, Danilo was selected to be a non-residential fellow of the Atlantic Fellowship for Social and Economic Equality, implemented at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Danilo has 15 years of experience working in the field of economic and social rights, the fight against discrimination and access to justice for the most vulnerable individuals and communities, in Serbia and in other countries.

He is particularly interested in the right to adequate housing, segregation, the impact of poverty on the realization of economic, social and other human rights and issues of access to justice in the domain of economic and social rights. Recently, he has been intensively working on issues of digitalization of the social protection systems and the impact of automated decision-making on the most underprivileged individuals.
