Advisory committee
The Advisory Committee is dedicated to improving the implementation of the organization’s goals. It is composed of experts from both Serbia and abroad who work on issues relevant to the achievement of the goals of A 11Initiative. The mandate of the Advisory Committee members is four years.
Andrea Čolak
Andrea Čolak earned her degree in international law from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. During her studies, she completed part of her undergraduate education at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, USA. She is currently enrolled in a master’s program in Law and Gender, further deepening her academic focus on issues of equality, human rights and social justice. After completing her studies, Andrea undertook a two-year legal internship in a law office in Belgrade, gaining practical experience in courtroom representation. Over the past fifteen years, she has worked on topics related to economic and social justice and non-discrimination as a legal consultant, researcher, legal practitioner, and head of a local NGO. Andrea specializes in the protection and advancement of human rights through strategic litigation and advocacy on issues of equality, ethnic discrimination and intersectionality. Since 2012, she has worked as a consultant for the European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC).
Jovana Timotijević
Jovana Timotijević graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade and earned her master’s degree in Gender Studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade, where she is currently working on her doctoral thesis. Her research and activism intersect contemporary political theory, feminist theory and critical urban studies, focusing on the spatial aspects of social justice in the areas of housing, spatial resource management, and citizen participation in urban development. Her years of experience in the civil sector are intertwined with her engagement in academic institutions.
Predrag Momčilović
Predrag Momčilović completed both his undergraduate and master’s studies at the Faculty of Geography, where he is currently pursuing a PhD. His main areas of interest include political ecology, just transition, social aspects of climate change, urban mobility, and degrowth theory and practice. Through his activism, journalism and research, he aims to broaden the understanding of green policies and adapt them to the local context. He is the author of several books, publications, and papers. His motto is: “Just because you can’t imagine a different world, doesn’t mean it’s not possible – we just need to work together to make it happen.”
Natalija Perišić
Natalija Perišić is a professor at the Department of Social Policy and Social Work, University of Belgrade – Faculty of Political Sciences. She leads MIGREC (Migration, Integration and Governance Research Centre) and serves as the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Gerontology. For over twenty years, she has been teaching and conducting research on topics related to national and European social policy—including the welfare state, aging and pensions, healthcare and health insurance, unemployment and labor markets, poverty and social protection, as well as migration and mobility. She is the (co)author of numerous articles in national and international academic journals, and of book chapters published by publishers such as Routledge, Springer, Oxford University Press, among others. She is also the author of Social Security – Concepts and Programs and European Union Social Policy – Areas and Approaches, published by the Faculty of Political Sciences.
Jelena Kasumović
Jelena Kasumović is a final-year undergraduate student at the Faculty of Law, University of Niš. She is dedicated to social inclusion and the economic empowerment of marginalized communities, with a particular focus on the Roma population. She has many years of experience leading projects aimed at employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development of local communities. Through her work, she actively contributes to shaping public policies that promote equal access to rights, resources and opportunities. Thanks to her field engagement and focus on practical solutions, Jelena Kasumović plays an active role in advancing social justice and equality.
