Initiative A 11 submitted the proposal for amendments of the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination

At the beginning of February 2021, Initiative A 11 became a member of the Special Working Group for the Drafting of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination.

The first meeting of the Special Working Group was held on 22 February 2021 and was attended by representatives of three civil society organizations (Initiative A 11, Duga Association, and Civil Right Defenders), representatives of the Commissioner for Protection of Equality, the Ombudsperson, and several ministries together with the Minister of Human Rights and Social Dialogue, Ms. Gordana Čomić, who is also the head of the Special Working Group.

At the mentioned meeting, the members of the Special Working Group were presented with the latest version of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination and were given somewhat more than 24 hours to submit their comments on the Draft.

Initiative A 11, based on its experience in providing support to Roma, displaced persons, people in poverty, as well as the other multiple discriminated groups, submitted its proposal for amendments of the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination to the Ministry of Human Rights and Social Dialogue.
